Lipstick challenge 4

Hi ladies!

Okay so I know I missed a couple of days of this project because I was so busy but here's lippie no.4!
It's a little soap and glory beauty, one of my favourite glosses 'Sexy Motherpucker'.
I love this colour (I'm not sure of the name, my sticker has rubbed off the bottom lol), but its a lovely rich nude-brown. In quick and easy terms, it smells gorgeous, like chocolate, has a smooth creamy texture and I absolutely love the plumping effect. The tingly sensation is actually quite nice, compared to some of the other plumping glosses I've tried, and it genuinely does work, I find there's quite a noticeable difference when I use this.

I think it's a lovely colour for day time, or with a strong smoky eye, and it actually has great staying power, it lasts a good few hours before I need to reapply, I find it extremely hard to pick faults with these glosses and I have them in almost every colour. My only complaint is that there aren't enough shades lol!
So go, check them out and let me know what you think! As far as I know they're about £8 or £9 or you can buy 3 in a set for something like £15 in boots, which is great for something this good quality :)

Day5!

Hi guys! :)

So it's lipstick challenge day 5 (it feels like I've been doing this so much longer lol!) and I've chosen another pretty MAC one, this time it's 'Up the Amp' which is one of my favourite colours of ALL TIME! It's just such an epic colour I can't get over it :p it's a beautiful bright lilac-purple and it is absolutely electric, it will bring you a ridiculous amount of attention on the street purely because its so quirky and different :)

How pretty?! It's one of MAC's amplified creme lipsticks which I'm sure you know by now I absolutely adore, purely because I think they're so much brighter than the others and they have AMAZING staying power. I wore this at Tenants Vital festival the other day watching Kings of Leon in the pouring rain and it still stayed put so I really can't complain at all! I don't think I have anything else to say about this lippie other than literally every girl should own this colour, it's so much more flattering than it looks, I love it! :)

Couple more reviews coming soon, maybe tonight or tomorrow, watch out for Benefits Stay Flawless primer and Clarins Wonderlash mascara :)

They're Real! Mascara Review

Hi girlies :)

I know, I've been a bad blogger and missed a couple of days on the lipstick challenge but I've just been so busy! But first things first, I did promise a review of Benefits They're Real! Mascara!
Being honest, I've been using this mascara for a while and I still have mixed opinions on it, although I keep buying it so Benefit are obviously doing something right!
First lets talk about the brush..
Benefit say the brush is unique to the brand, made from silicone and the little ball at the end will catch every single lash. I say, I'd like the brush to be slightly thicker, and I definitely do not like the fact that its made from silicone as the bristles are very stiff and I find them to be..scratch(?), almost sore when applying the product. However, it does catch all the tiny lashes so I guess it does what it says on the tin!
Secondly, the formula, Benefit says false lashes in a tube, and contains elastin so it actually stretches lashes and makes the mascara unable to crumble and flake off. I say, definitely a big difference in the length and volume of my lashes, however when I wear concealer under the eyes, there is definitely a little case of panda eye going on!
Other than this, my only major complaint is that it is literally almost IMPOSSIBLE to get off. Benefit claim that they're real is NOT waterproof, but instead water resistant ( same thing, no?), I claim that this mascara hates soap, water and anything else that tries to remove it! There are occasions when I've showered, washed my face twice and it still will not come off, which is a big, fat pain. The only thing I find that removes it is the LancĂ´me bi-facil eye make up remover.

So, overall, I'm still on the fence about this product, I really do love the results (which you can see below!), in that respect its the best mascara I've used in quite a while, but is it really worth the hassle trying to scrub it off your eyes?! Hmm, I say this but I know I'll keep using it so it must be!

Glam Grunge!

Hi ladies!

Okay so I'm sure your all aware one of the major trends for a/w13 is grunge! I am so excited for this trend, it's so me and a good old smoky, grungy eye is one of my absolute favourite looks for day or night. As an artist and someone who works with clients daily, I know that a lot of women are abit timid when it comes to a dark eye and they like to keep it subtle but for me, the more dramatic the better!
I've composed a little look that's more glam grunge and works in a way that's less 14 year old trying too hard and more grown up Joan Jett! And of course there's a little pink on the lips to pretty it up :) check it out for yourself below :)

I've used some of my favourite products in this look and there's a complete list below :)

I'm gonna use this pretty pink gloss as my day 4 lipstick challenge as well just because I love it so much!
The lipgloss is from Benefit's new colour range and is called 'Lollibop' (how cute!), I have a few of these glosses but the pink is definitely my favourite.
Benefit say these glosses are strong colours with a high pigment but I disagree (although this isn't a bad thing!), I find that they have fantastic colour in the tube but once they're spread on the lips they fade out to a very sheer version of the colour they're supposed to be, but strangely I like this as it brings it down to a lovely subtle colour for daytime. They smell gorgeous and the texture is great but my one complaint with them is that they aren't particularly long lasting, such was slightly disappointing but seeing as I love everything else from Benefit, I think I can forgive this!

I'm using the 'They're Real!) mascara at the minute too so ill put a review up of that very soon!

Day 3! :)

It's day 3 of lipstick month ladies!
Today I'm on another MAC (I know, typical artist loves mac, but hey!), this time it's a little baby called chatterbox, a really really pretty coral-pink. Not as bright as I'd normally wear but great for those who love some colour without being too attention grabbing!
Check it out for yourself below!

Again I know it's so typical to say but mac lippies really are great, I have very little fault with them, great colour, fantastic staying power and an amazingly smooth texture, what else could you want?! :)
If you've never bought a mac lipstick, honestly, you haven't lived, I've never met anyone who dislikes their products!

Till next time m'loves!

Lipstick Challenge - Day 2!

Hi girlies!

So I'm back today with day 2 of my month of lipsticks!
Today's choice is one of my absolute favourite lipsticks ever, a little Benefit beauty called 'Lady's Choice'.

This little lovely has to be my favourite ever nude lippie, it's a perfect colour for everyone and has the most gorgeous, creamiest texture I've had from a lipstick in a long time. And good news is its not being discontinued from their new colour line, yay! :)
My favourite lipstick, but I find it so hard to get hold of at the Benefit counters, it's always sold out so I mustn't be the only one who loves it!

Till tomorrow ladies,
Love & Lipstick :)
Tammy xoxo
